What is Goshin Budokan Genjitsu?

Goshin Budokan Genjitsu is the Teaching Method of Aiki Ju-Jitsu, (Ju-Jitsu with Aiki Principles), and Goshin Do Ryu Ju-Jitsu which employ techniques taken from three Martial Arts Systems (Aikido, Judo, Karate Do) that are taught as a way of Martial Arts tradition and reality.

The above constitute a Teaching Method founded by the Headmaster Kyoshi Sensei Edward E. Wilkes, Doshu of the Goshin Budokan U.S.A., and Dojocho of the Shubukan Martial Arts Center of Fabens, Texas.

How do Martial Arts take on meaning in Goshin Budokan Genjitsu?

Before this question can be answered, we must take a deeper look into the true meaning of what are referred to as the Martial Arts as we know them today.

Aiki Ju-Jitsu and Ju-Jitsu have been translated as "completeness" or a "flexible means". These are Martial Arts that have throws, punching, kicking, joint locks, weapons, choking and ground techniques employed with Aiki Principles.

Aikido is translated as "the way of making harmony with nature" or simply defined as "a way of blending with movement". It is Aiki Ju-Jitsu practiced as a way of life.

Judo is translated as "the gentle way" or a more literal translation is "the flexible way." It is Ju-Jitsu practiced as a way of life.

Karate, or sometimes called Karate-Do, is translated as "the way of the empty hand". It is Karate Jitsu practiced as a way of life.

Research has shown that most of the techniques in Japanese Martial Arts have some connection with, or originated from, the Martial Art of Ju-Jitsu.

After unlocking the deeper meaning of the Martial Arts, one must ask, "After you make harmony in Aikido, use the flexible way in Judo, or use the empty hand of Karate-Do, what do you do next?"

Where do the techniques come from?

This now brings us to the truer meaning of what we know as the Martial Arts. These so called Martial Arts are not really Martial Arts. They are the ways that we do something and the techniques that have been selected as "Ways" that we do something and come from a large "sphere of techniques" that really don't have any name or attachment to any one Martial Arts System.

Goshin Budokan Genjitsu deals with Self-Defense Reality with Aiki principles.
